Opening of the XI CONIMA National Meeting on Arbitration and Mediation, held on June 6th and 7th in Rio de Janeiro. Tania Almeida participated in the opening panel addressing Portraits of Mediation in Brazil with the president of CONIMA, Fernanda Levy, and Joaquim Muniz, who spoke about Arbitration.

The presentation by the director of MEDIARE brought together the contribution of different Brazilian states on the practice of Judicial Mediation and Private Mediation.

Tania shared with the audience the themes that were recursive, those that pointed to the future and those that showed contrasts between the different regions of the country. A retrospective visiting similar research carried out by Tania in 2008 demonstrated how the country has advanced in the practice of Mediation and how it has positively addressed the issues that were of concern to mediators at that time.
